A once in a lifetime opportunity for Rotaractors in GB and Ireland
Rotaract in Great Britain and Ireland proudly announced, in January 2007, that they are to host the European Rotaract conference in 2008 in London! Please see www.euco2008.com for specific information, eg accomodation.
This result was the culmination of the hard work and dedication of RGBI. Past Chairman Lisa Burnett gave a well-prepared and professional presentation to the Rotaract Representatives in Turkey, showing what a great city London is.
The theme for the weekend is "The World is not enough- for James Bond and Rotaract". The Gala dinner will be a fantastic opportunity for us all to get glammed up and select Bond Girl names with suitable double entendres!
The news caused great excitement amongst the Rotaractors in our club and the rest of RGBI (especially the girls who were dreaming of Daniel Craig in the beach scene of Casino Royale. Or was that just Cleckheaton?)
The conference will include sight-seeing tours, personal development, the Rotaract Europe meeting, workshops and the annual RGBI conference.
The opportunity to attend, and be involved in the European conference in Britain is a rare and very exciting prospect. I am positive that Cleckheaton and the other clubs in our district will be more than willing to experience the EUCO next year, and to welcome Rotaractors from all over the world...
Further details will be added as they are confirmed.
