Hello and welcome to Cleckheaton
Rotaract’s website
You’re
probably asking yourself many questions like what is Rotaract? Here we will try
and answer your questions
What is Rotaract?
Rotaract is an international
organisation that gives 18-30 year olds an opportunity to do something useful!
Rotaract helps people to get involved more, whether it be with the local
community, fundraising, or social events. It helps to bring like minded, active
people together, who share a passion for wanting to make a difference to their
lives, and those of others. Rotaract is split into various clubs around Great
Britain and Ireland, and all around the world.
Like many other Rotaract clubs, we organise and attend numerous social
and fundraising events, from barn dances, bonfire nights and fancy dress
parties to black tie dinners and casino nights. Many of the Rotaract groups all
meet up for an annual camping rally.
What is the best way to see what Rotaract actually do?
On our website, we have pictures and
information about previous events we have organised and attended. We also have
pictures from our previous Charter Nights, which are held yearly. This will
give you a small insight into what the Cleckheaton Rotaract club does.
Who can join?
Rotaract is open to anyone between the
ages of 18-30. It doesn’t matter what background you come from, everyone is
welcome. Everyone will have something different to offer.
Why should I join?
Rotaract is a place to find new
friends. It can improve your social life, with events that you never thought
you would attend. If you are new to the area, it could be a good way for you to
get to know the locals. We get invited to parties and events all over England.
It’s not just about the pubbing and clubbing.
With the different roles in Rotaract,
it could help develop professional, social and personal skills.
Many Rotaractors have said that they
have developed lifelong friendships within their club and other clubs. Some
people have even met their partners through Rotaract.
How do I find out more about Cleckheaton Rotaract?

or join our group, please give us a call or send an email. All of our
details can be found under "contact us". We would love to hear from

I’m interested in
joining, but I’m outside the Rotaract age limits. What can I do?
There is a club called Interact that is sponsored by Rotary for 14-18
year olds. If you contact your local Rotary group, they would be able to direct
you the right way to get started in one of the Interact clubs.
Rotary International is open to people from 21 year olds plus. This is
the next stage up from Rotaract
For more information, take a look at the RIBI website to find your
nearest club. The link is available on the “useful links” page
If you’re still not sure, come along and join in!!!
